The Community Development Team works with communities to help identify projects and initiatives they want to complete to make their own communities a better place to live, work and play. We are here to walk alongside our community and support them to achieve their own goals. This may involve physical projects such as construction of new facilities or supporting community events or activities.
The team has been involved in a wide range of initiatives including Community Marketing Plans, Urban Beautification Projects and Community Events.
The Teams Philosophy is to encourage joint projects and partnerships to make the best use of resources. We encourage Communities to think strategically and develop Community Action Plans. These Plans include the wide range of activities and projects that may be happening at any one time. Groups involved in these projects are encouraged to work collaboratively, share resources and add value to each others projects.
