The South Taranaki District Council's Environmental Health Unit deals with a variety of licensing activiites in the district.
Health standards, liquor licensing, noise control, general bylaw administration and environmental monitoring are all examples of the council's licensing activities. If you have any questions regarding licensing or licensing issues, our officers are happy to help you with the information that you need.
There is a very close relationship between people and their environment. What happens in the environment can have an adverse effect on our health. Council Environmental Health Officers actively identify the issues and assess the health risks involved with food premises, hairdressers, funeral directors, camp grounds, offensive trades, liquor licensed premises and many issues relating to the management of private properties and other businesses to protect public health of the surrounding community.
