The South Taranaki District Council manages land use and activities in the district with our District Plan. This Plan contains 16 separate sections with Planning Maps which identify where every property in the district is located. From these maps it is possible for anyone to find out what activities may take place on a piece of land and under what conditions. The main environmental management technique used in this plan is zoning.
