The South Taranaki District Plan is the Council's major document for environmental policy. The Council addresses its environmental responsibilities in the operative District Plan. The Plan provides a reasonable blueprint for sustainable management of natural and physical resources. The Council's environmental responsibilities include land use management, subdivision management, noise control and management of natural hazards.
