What is a Ten Year Plan?
A Ten Year Plan outlines the projects, activities and services the Council intends to carry out in the community over the next 10 years, with specific detail on the first three years. Planning for the next ten years encourages Councils to think about the long term future and direction of their communities.
Our Council writes a Ten Year Plan every three years, which allows us to think about changing conditions, issues, priorities and make appropriate adjustments. The Council still consults each year on its annual programme so the public has an opportunity for further input, and Council can change the Ten Year Plan programme if new information comes to hand or if circumstances have changed.
