Education

Educating our people to meet the demands of the modern workplace is a high priority and South Taranaki offers a wide range of education facilities.  Secondary schools, full primary, primary, intermediate and a huge range of early childhood options ensure that families have access to quality education to suit their needs.

Pre-schoolers are well catered for with a choice of kindergartens, childcare centres, preschools, playcentres, kohanga reo, creches and play groups.

Primary schools are located across the region offering a range in classroom and school size and catering for children from age 5 to 13 (Years 1-8) or 5-11 (Years 1-6) or 9-11 (Years 5 and 6). All schools are State or State Integrated schools.

Boarding options are available as close as Stratford, and cities of New Plymouth and Wanganui.  Both cities offer excellent tertiary programmes and qualifications too.
