Are you are between 12 to 24 years old and live in South Taranaki?

IF YES - I can help you solve issues and work on projects that you see are important to your wellbeing.

Do you support young people in South Taranaki?

IF YES - I can help you make connections to other community members and resources that will help young people.

As the District's Youth Development Facilitator I am responsible for the delivery of the District Youth Strategy which aims to encourage and support youth to:

Participate in Decision Making
Develop leadership, creative and personal skills
Implement their own initiatives
Access appropriate social support and health services.

I also help coordinate SouthTRU (South Taranaki Rangatahi United) - a group of youth representatives from communities throughout the district. These young people are nominated by their peers and work to support youth to develop and complete their own initiatives.

I coordinate a 3 monthly Connecting Youth and Supporters meeting. Anyone can come to network and gain local support. Youth can meet people who support them and supporters can hear from youth about what’s going on in their lives. Ring me or email me on the details below if you would like to come along.

I also have a distribution list that you can be part of to gain and spread information relevant to youth and their families in South Taranaki.
