The Egmont A&P Show is an annual event held on the third weekend in November and is one of the largest events of its type on the entire west coast.
The show hosts a large trade area showcasing local and out of town businesses. It has a strong equestrian contingent encompassing Dressage Show Jumping, Show Hunter, Miniature Horses and Showing classes.
The Cattle section is also well supported with many breeds shown.
The show has a large home industry section, including baking, vegetables, sewing and knitting, photography and cut flowers. There are also jet boat rides on the lake, wood chopping, a small animal tent and dog trials.
The side shows and rides as always are a popular attraction for both the young and the young at heart.
