Abandoned Vehicles are vehicles that are not registered or warranted and have been left on public property.
If you see an abandoned vehicle, please report this to Council.
Council staff will check the registration and contact the registered owner of the vehicle either by phone or letter. The owner will be given 10 working days to remove the vehicle. If it has not been removed in this time, Council will arrange to have it removed and the charges incurred will be charged to the registered owner
If the vehicle is parked in a dangerous position the police may request the vehicle be removed immediately
