Road Closures due to extreme weather conditions
Updated 20 July 2017
Tangahoe Valley Road
There is temporary foot access over the slip site on Tangahoe Valley – for residents only - We will endeavour to keep this open over the weekend
It is of a low standard and care is required
Work will begin clearing the trees from the site tomorrow and go on through Saturday
Work to open the slip to one lane access will start on Monday
Hopefully will have this completed on Monday
Further work to fully clear slip site will start on Tuesday and continue for several days
This programme is dependent on suitable weather and the slip not slipping further given the wet weather forecast for tonight through to Sunday evening
Check www.nzta.govt.nz to have a look for any other road closures/accidents etc on State Highways.
Also be sure that you are prepared in case of power outages (see www.powerco.co.nz for more information) or road closures. Click here to find out more about what you should have in your emergency kit.
