Love Food Hate Waste
In the month of June, Council is supporting the Love Food Hate Waste campaign. This campaign is to raise awareness of how much food we uneccessarily throw away, and how we could use our leftovers. If this sounds like you – head to any of our local LibraryPlus centres and check out their displays, head to the newly launched Love Food Hate Waste website and Facebook page and sign up to their newsletter!
Be in to Win
Want to become more aware of what you throw away? There’s an easy way to keep track – and that’s with a food waste diary. You can download one here . What’s more, if you fill this out for a week and drop it into a LibraryPlus centre, you go in the draw to win a copy of Love your Leftovers written by the River Cottage man, Hugh Fearnley-Whittington. Every week you fill out in the month of June is one entry into the competition!
