Mayoral Relief Fund set up to aid Christchurch

A Mayoral Relief Fund has been set up by South Taranaki District Council to raise money for those who were affected by the Christchurch Earthquake last week.

People who want to give money can come into the Council’s Administration Building, the South Taranaki i-SITE Visitors Centre or to any local LibraryPlus and drop it off in one of the donation boxes.

Another option is to deposit money straight into the Westpac Account 03 0647 0220100 02.

Tawhiti School Fundraiser

Tawhiti School is selling puzzle pieces that join together to recreate the historic and significant buildings that made up the Christchurch landscape. They are selling a piece (or more) of this puzzle, for the small cost of $5. The more puzzle pieces sold, the more images they can put back together and the more funds they can send to the Christchurch community. Contact Jo at the office on (06) 278 7117.

If you have a fundraiser for the Christchurch earthquake, please let us know and we can promote it on our website and through Southlink, the Council’s weekly publication in the South Taranaki Star.
