Coding Clubs

Coding Clubs

At South Taranaki Libraries children are being introduced to the principles of computer coding languages in regular coding Clubs, using the online program Scratch ( https://scratch.mit.edu/). With simple drag-and-drop tools children are able to make their own games, websites and animations. Coding Club projects are provided free of charge and suited to children aged 8-12.

“The aim is to move the generation of tomorrow from consumers of technology to creators and producers. Through these experiences students are equipped with the skills to not only use technology but to make it work for them.”

If your child is interested in learning to code then Scratch Coding Clubs at South Taranaki Libraries is an excellent place to begin.
