Council CEO Craig Stevenson announced the appointment today and says that getting Mrs Wilson was a real coup for the Council.

“Phillippa comes to us from a senior management position in the Auckland Regional Council (ARC) andhas a strong corporate services and senior leadership background,” says Mr Stevenson.

“She is very well known in the local government sector both nationally and internationally and was President of the Society of Local Government Managers (SOLGM) for two years. Her previous roles include Chief Executive of Central Hawkes Bay and Franklin District Councils and she spent several years with the Local Government Policy Unit within the Department of Internal Affairs. Naturally, I am delighted that we have attracted someone of Phillippa’s calibre and we are looking forward to her joining our team in early September,” he says.

Phillippa is a Chartered Accountant who holds Bachelor Business Studies (BBS Massey) and a Master of Public Policy (MPP Victoria). She and her husband Doug are looking forward to the quality of life South Taranaki offers and becoming part of the community.
