Gambling Policies

In October 2016, Council adopted the reviewed Class 4 Gambling Venues Policy 2016 in accordance with section 102 of the Gambling Act 2003; and the Board Venues Policy 2016 in accordance with section 65E of the Racing Act 2003.

The review of the Class 4 Gambling Venues Policy has introduced a relocation policy of gaming machines, and reduced the capped limit of gaming machines which can operate within the district to 120. The reviewed Venues Policy maintains the prohibition on all stand-alone Board Venues (TAB venues only providing gambling) throughout the district.
