Exhibition - Mountain Man

Mountain Man, curated by South Taranaki District Council arts coordinator Michaela Stoneman, is based on a theme of cultural diversity.  The show is part of Te Ngira: New Zealand Diversity Action Programme, run by the Human Rights Commission in March each year.

The show promises a diverse mix of works in many media and artistic perspectives. Visitors to the gallery will see sculpture, painting, carving, photography, drawing, weaving and glass.

The artists live in both rural and urban areas, including Waverley, Hawera, Patea, New Plymouth, Manaia, Okato, Eltham and Inglewood.

The artists are Waldo Hartley, Mark Bellringer, Roger Morris, Jeff Bright, Jimi Walsh, Peter Lambert, Mark Hudson, Toroa Ngaia Cruden, Carl Fairweather, Harry Moores, Douglas Reid, Tamawhero Kiriona, Gary Couper, Phil Jones, Alby Carter, Paul Hutchinson and Tony Rumball.
