May is Music Month in South Tarananki Libraries, come and celebrate with us.

Have a relaxing day with a friend or family member visit our lovely Aotea Utanganui - Museum of South Taranaki and then pop along to the Patea LibraryPlus event.

Go visit Eltham's lovely shops and then visit ElthamLibraryPlus for their event.

Manaia has Yarrows and Opunake has Sugar-Juice. The options are endless

At Waverley LibraryPlus:

Thursday May 3rd. Celebrating Musicians @ Waverley Libraryplus, 10.30am. Join us for live music, and hear from local singer Christine Standen. Christine will bring along her trophies, and CD, to share with us.
Monday May 21st. Celebrating Music @ Waverley LibraryPlus, 2.00-3.30pm. Join us for an interactive workshop with Andre Manella. Andre honed his talent in the Swiss music industry before re-locating to New Zealand, where he is gaining traction in the industry for his original work utilising technology (sampling, looping) guitar and vocal.

At Patea LibraryPlus:

Wednesday May 9th. Musical mayhem @ Patea LibraryPlus, 10.30am-12noon. Join us for an interactive workshop with Andre Manella. Andre honed his talent in the Swiss music industry before re-locating to New Zealand, where he is gaining traction in the industry for his original work utilising technology (sampling, looping) guitar and vocal.
Monday May 21st. Music Madness 4 Teenz @ Patea LibraryPlus, 5.30-7pm. Join us for a song writing workshop with Peter Heard and Rawiri Green. Peter is a singer songwriter utilising technology (sampling, looping, drum machine &, vocals & guitar). Rawiri is a young musician from Waverley.

At Opunake LibraryPlus:

Opunake LibraryPlus will have entertainers busking each Friday during the month of May.   Come along and be entertained or serenaded by some of our finest local musicians.   During the other days in May there will be more entertaining musical surprises.  Watch this space for details and check out Opunake LibraryPlus ‘whats on’ board in the library”

At Eltham LibraryPlus:

Thursday May 24th Musical Mystery @ Eltham LibraryPlus, 10.30am – 12.00noon. Join us for live music with Lisa Nelson and Russell Wicks.
Russell is a local song writer who has recorded music for Princes William and Harry. Lisa and Russell also have a Music Museum here in Eltham so will also have items from their
Museum that they will share with us.

Kaponga LibraryPlus:

Friday May 25th Music Memorabilia @ Kaponga LibraryPlus 10.30am Come join us with some music memories from your past.
So far we have some lovely old vinyl records to share and a lovely old music box with some interesting history!
