2013 Reivew of Bylaws open for consultation

2013 Reivew of Bylaws open for consultation

Thursday, July 11, 2013

Council has developed and reviewed the following bylaws and we want to know what you think of the proposed changes:

Speed Limits
Keeping of Animals
Cemeteries
Public Swimming Pools
Heavy Motor Vehicles
Solid Waste
Waste Water
Water Supply
Food Safety
Tattooists, Beauticians and Body Piercers

Bylaws provide rules and regulations to make sure the Council protects the public from nuisances, maintains public health and safety and minimises offensive behaviour in public places. Bylaws can impact on you (or your business) everyday, so it’s important to know which bylaws are being reviewed so that you can have a say in shaping them.

If you would like someone from Council to come and talk to a group that may be affected by a proposed bylaw, or if you simply want more information, please email Adrienne Cook, or contact her at the Council on 0800 111 323

You can make a submission between 11 July until 8 August 2013.

You can find the Statement of Proposal, summary of information, all the bylaws under review and the submission form at the below link.
