Have your say on the Council’s draft Significance and Engagement Policy

The draft Significance and Engagement Policy (which was adopted on 13 October) identifies how the Council intends to engage with the community on its key plans, policies and issues.

STDC group manager of Corporate Services, Phillippa Wilson, says the draft Policy is an important part of Council’s decision making process and encourages residents to offer their feedback on it.

The policy is a result of the Local Government Act 2002 Amendment Act, which requires all Council’s to adopt a significance and engagement policy by 1 December 2014.

South Taranaki District Council’s draft policy can be viewed here or at any LibraryPlus centre and feedback can be sent to Phillippa.wilson@stdc.govt.nz by Friday 7 November.
