Fluoride Consultation Hearing to be held in Patea
Friday, October 19, 2012
After community requests, the South Taranaki District Council has agreed to move the Patea and Waverley fluoride consultation Hearing to Patea.
The Hearing will now be held at the Patea Old Folks Hall on Egmont Street. The time and date, 9am Monday 26 November 2012, remain unchanged.
Public consultation on whether or not to add fluoride to the Patea and Waverley town water supplies started on Monday 8 October and runs until 4pm, 9 November 2012.
Some submitters suggested that it was difficult for local residents to attend the Hearing in Hawera because of time restrictions, difficulty in travelling to and from Hawera during work time, mobility issues or not having transport.
The Council’s Deliberation Meeting, where the final decision is made, remains at the Council Chambers in Hawera on 10 December.
If you have already submitted your form and now want to speak at the Hearing please ring the Council on 0800 111 323 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
All speakers will receive written confirmation of their allocated time and be allowed five minutes at the Special Hearing. Only people who have made written submissions can speak at this Hearing.
