Keep New Zealand Beautiful Week 2011

Keep New Zealand Beautiful Week 2011

Friday, August 12, 2011

All you need to do is round up a group of family or friends, nominate an area and get there sometime during 20-27 August to clean that space up of any rubbish. It could be your street, a park or even a section of the beach!

South Taranaki District Council facilitates this event by providing free recycling bags and gloves – and also gives groups who are taking part in this national initiative the opportunity to drop off the rubbish collected at one of our local transfer stations free of charge during that week.

But don’t think you’re doing all the work! Throughout Keep New Zealand Beautiful week, you’ll see Council staff throughout the district picking up rubbish.

If you are keen to get involved, please contact organiser Andrea Barrington on 278 0555 or tollfree 0800 111 323.
