Monday, May 23, 2011
If you are committed to protecting heritage and you’d like to play a part in caring for and promoting the heritage of South Taranaki, then you should consider putting your name forward to be a Museum trustee. The South Taranaki District Museum Trust is seeking four new trustees for election at its AGM.
“The last five years have been an exciting time and we’ve achieved more than we thought we could but, understandably, some trustees need a break” says Chair, Dave Crompton
With the new Museum open, the Trust is taking a short breather before undertaking a major strategic and sustainability planning exercise. Considering the next stage of the building redevelopment will be a part of this.
If you have a background in education, heritage/ museum development, project management, fundraising or marketing and promotion, the Trust would welcome your nomination. This can be sent, along with your CV, to the Secretary, South Taranaki District Museum Trust, 127 Egmont Street, Pātea. Nominations must be received by 8 June.
The AGM will be held at 7.30pm on Thursday 9 June at Aotea Utanganui: Museum of South Taranaki, 127 Egmont Street, Pātea.
