Curated from the collections of Aotea Utanganui Museum of South Taranaki and Puke Ariki, Flickering Light: Taranaki Cinema History explores the regional cinema's influence within communities and how they shaped the viewing appetite of theatre-goers.
The decline of cinema attendance in the late 1960's was mainly attributed to the introduction of television - a trend that continued - Cameron S. Curd, Exhibition Curator.
The exhibition runs from 6 February to 25 April 2013.
