Born out of a dream and desire to provide rural audiences with a chance to experience a truly unique night out, singer songwriter Mel Parsons, and actresses Amelia Guild and Emma Newborn, toured the length and breadth of the South Island, sometimes venturing off the beaten track to transform local woolsheds into dynamic theatre.
A fast-paced and hilarious romp around the kennels telling a dog’s tale (tail) of life on a farm is preceded by a musical score with songs from two-time Tui Award winner, Mel Parsons’ latest album, Red Grey Blue, accompanied by Andrew Moore from the Thomas Oliver Band.
Amelia Guild grew up on a high country station making a career from acting and painting. Emma Newborn returned after nine years performing abroad with accolades to her undeniable talent and range. Mel Parsons grew up on a sheep farm at Cape Foulwind and has toured extensively.
