Getting Here and Around
South Taranaki is approximately half way between Wellington and Auckland on the west coast of the North Island of New Zealand. It is easily accessible by land or air. Two regional domestic airports are close by with Whanganui Airport an hour to the south of Hawera and New Plymouth Airport less than an hour to the north of Hawera. If you decide to take a scenic drive along Stahe Highway 3 Hawera is approximately from 3.5 hours drive from Wellington or 4.5 hours from Auckland.

Taranaki has its own domestic airport 10km from New Plymouth - a 50 minute drive from Hawera. The airport is serviced by regular flights from domestic carrier Air New Zealand www.airnewzealand.co.nz
Whanganui Airport, based just 5 minutes out of Wanganui City is an hours drive from Hawera.
International airports are located in nearby Rotorua, Auckland and Wellington.
