Summer Sounds in the Park is returning to Hāwera’s King Edward Park on Sunday 27 January.

Summer Sounds in the Park is returning to Hāwera’s King Edward Park this Sunday 27 January.
This year the Rodger Fox Band, featuring Ray Woolfe and Erna Ferry, will bring the Park to life with their smooth jazz.
Entertainment will begin at 4.30pm with Taranaki singer/songwriter Emily Riordan. Emily is classically trained in singing and piano and teaches both in New Plymouth.
Throughout her performance you will hear the influence of her favourite artists, Radiohead and Lana Del Ray.
Then the talented Rodger Fox Band will take the stage, lifting the atmosphere in the Park to new heights. Rodger has performed with some of the biggest names in the jazz and entertainment world. Performing alongside Rodger Fox Band is Erna Ferry and Ray Woolf.
South Taranaki District Council events co-ordinator Liesl Davidson says she is looking forward to hearing the soulful tones from local and well-known artists takeover King Edward Park.
"We hope families and whanaū take the opportunity to enjoy this free event and relax in Hāwera’s Premier Park,” says Liesl. “We encourage those attending to make an evening of it by bringing a picnic or buying something from the food vendors.”
