ALTfest headlining acts announced
Thursday, October 11, 2012
Two of the country’s big-name acts are heading to Hawera.
Ladi6 and Kids of 88 will be headlining this year’s ALTfest on Saturday 15 December.
South Taranaki District Council’s community services group manager Fiona Greenhill expects there will be a strong demand for tickets from across the region and encourages those interested to mark when tickets go on sale - Thursday 1 November - into their calendars now!
“We’re thrilled to be able to secure these two big-name bands! And although the weather was not kind to us last year, we are optimistic for a fine day with a great selection of music,” says Ms Greenhill. “ALTfest, like its name, offers people an exciting, fun, alternative event in a safe and secure environment.”
Gates at the Hawera Show Grounds (Williams Avenue entrance), open at 1.30pm, and the entertainment will kick off from 2pm with local acts before the two headlining acts take the stage.
This event is R16 and ID will be required. Please note that there is no BYO this year. Drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcholic, and food will be available for purchase at the event.
Tickets are available from Thursday 1 November for $32.50 (plus booking fee) from the South Taranaki i-SITE Visitor Centre or Ticketdirect (www.ticketdirect.co.nz) or 0800 4 TICKET.
This event is brought to you by South Taranaki District Council and The Edge FM. Supported by TSB Community Trust.
