Arts in Taumata Park - this weekend
Tuesday, March 13, 2012
Jewelry, handmade soaps, scarecrows and patchwork bags are just some of the stalls for this year’s Arts in Taumata Park in Eltham.
Eltham’s Taumata Park will be alive with artist and crafts people selling their wares on Saturday 17 March.
“The park comes alive with artists and crafts people and their creations spread throughout it. It’s a thrill to be able to see the artworks being created as well as linger with those pieces on display” says Tarin Hunt, South Taranaki i-SITE and Events Coordinator. “There will also be an opportunity for children to make their own piece of art to take away as well”.
People can make a whole weekend of it in Eltham, with the Eltham Lions Club Kite Day happening on Sunday 17 March on Neil Road from 11am.
The day runs from 10am-2pm at Taumata Park in Eltham. If the weather is unsuitable on the Saturday, the postponement date is Sunday 18 March.
