South Taranaki is Alive With Opportunity… and you should take the opportunity to check out the district’s new website southtaranaki.com
Whether you are a resident, a visitor or just plain curious – southtaranaki.com should be your first port of call for anything you want to know about the district.
STDC communications manager Gerard Langford says the Council’s previous website was well overdue for a makeover.
“This has been in the pipeline for a long time,” says Mr Langford. “In revamping the website we decided we wanted more than a website that just provided Council information – we wanted to go bigger and make this the key communication and marketing tool for the district.”
The website is set to cater to anyone wanting any information about anything South Taranaki. It’s easy to navigate with the homepage divided into four sections: Council, Live, Visit and Work. The Council section focuses on services and facilities the Council offers; the Live section is about living in South Taranaki and promotes the district as a great place to live and raise a family; the Visit section provides lots of useful information for visitors, maps, events, attractions, accommodation etc and the Work section promotes the district as a great place to do business, support and job vacancies.
The new site, which was built by New Plymouth web design company - efinity - is full of great information, fantastic imagery including video, new features such as blogs, radio podcasts, online job vacancies, facebook page, clubs and organizations database and so much more. You can let us know that there’s a pot hole outside your property online, use a range of free library databases, look up information about your property and even apply for a building consent online… Visit southtaranaki.com today!
