Happening Holidays Programme

There’s heaps to do in South Taranaki these school holidays!
South Taranaki’s Happening Holidays programme is back again from Monday October 10 - Friday 21 October to keep kids occupied through their two-week break.
‘Horsing Around with the Hawera Pony Club’ is a new addition to the programme, where kids can ride a pony and learn about how to look after them. No experience is necessary as the Hawera Pony Club will be leading the ponies around.
There’s heaps more on offer such as: learning new tennis skills from Tennis Taranaki, bringing a bike along to the BMX track to play games, gymsports at the gym club and roller skating at TSB Hub.
Get the creative juices following with Scrapbooking and Creative Cards and the very popular Movie Magic is back with ‘Zookeeper’ and ‘Smurfs’.
The Big Day Out is back again! We’ll be heading to New Plymouth and begin the day by watching one of the best kids movies ever ‘The Lion King’ in 3D! After a quick refuel at Burger King we hit the alleys and have a game of Ten Pin Bowling – it will be a great day!
The Happening Holidays programme, which runs from Monday October 10 to Friday 21 October, is organised by South Taranaki i-SITE Visitor Centre and is aimed at 8 - 15 year olds, although some activities may cater for younger children.
Parents are reminded that registrations and/or permission slips are essential for activities marked with an asterisk and payment is due two days before activities. As most activities have limited places, please remember to book early.
Check out the programme here.
