South Taranaki ANZAC Day Services

Residents are invited to attend ANZAC Day services of remembrance on Friday 25 April to be held throughout the South Taranaki District at the following times:

        

OPUNAKE

6.00am      Parade Assemble at the Opunake Town Hall

6.15am      Service – Cenotaph

8.00am      Public Service – Services Cemetery

Refreshments will be served at the Opunake Town Hall at the conclusion of the service.

MANAIA

6.15am      Parade Assemble at the Manaia Town Hall

6.30am      Service – Band Rotunda

Refreshments will be served at the Manaia Town Hall at the conclusion of the service.

ELTHAM

8.45am      Parade Assemble at the Eltham Fire Station

9.00am      Service – War Memorial Gates, Conway Road followed immediately by the RSA Commemorative Service at the Services Cemetery, Anderson Road

Morning tea will be provided by the RSA at the Eltham Fire Station at conclusion of the service.

KAPONGA

10.15am    Parade Assemble at the former Medical Centre

10.30am    Service – Kaponga Memorial Hall, followed by the benediction at the Memorial Plot

A light luncheon will be served in the Kaponga Memorial Hall at the conclusion of the service.

PATEA

6.20am      Assemble at the Old Folks Hall

6.30am      Parade falls in to march from Old Post Office to the Cenotaph (Memorial)

A cup of tea will be served at the Old Folks Hall at the conclusion of the service.

WAVERLEY/WAITOTARA

Waverley

8.50am      Parade Assemble outside Waverley Community Centre

9.00am      Service – Waverley Community Centre

Waitotara

11.00am            Wreath Laying Ceremony – Waitotara Memorial Gates, Waitotara Domain

ALTON

Relocation of Alton War Memorial, Next to Alton Hall

11.00am    Service – Alton War Memorial

A light luncheon will be served in the Alton Hall at the conclusion of the service. Donations appreciated to help cover costs.

HAWERA

6.15am      Parade Assemble at the NZ Post Building, Princes Street, Hawera

6.30am      Service – Memorial Arch

Morning tea will be served at the RSA at the conclusion of the service.
