Established in 2005, Agrecoveryis a not-for-profit charitable trust put together by primary sectorstakeholders who recognise that compliant disposal of on-farm waste is arequirement of many industry standards, and an absolute necessity for NewZealand to meet criteria set by our export markets.
Our programmes are nationwideand backed by strong industry support, with 60+ brand owners committed to thesustainable disposal of their products.
CONTAINERS- Recycleyour plastic containers for free
You can recycle agrichemical,biological, animal health or dairy hygiene plastic containers (0-60 litres insize) at over 70 collection sites around New Zealand. Containers from 60participating brand owners are FREE to recycle; covering more than 3,000commonly used products (see over).
Containers must be empty,triple rinsed and free from residue and dirt inside and out. All containerswill be inspected before being accepted. Agrecovery also offers event-based oron-property collections where sufficient demand exists. Ask us for moredetails.
Agrecovery collects, shreds anddelivers the plastic to a New Zealand recycling company where it is generallymade into underground utility cable covers.

CHEMICALS- Bookdisposal of your unwanted agrichemicals
Agrichemicals are collected viaperiodic regional collection events that are scheduled throughout the year.
The cost of collection anddisposal of agrichemicals is funded in any of four ways: a levy paid by brandowners on every litre or kilo of eligible product; local government subsidies;central government funding; or user pays fees.
