Alert Level 3 (from 11:59 pm Tuesday 31 August)
- The late payment penalty of the first rates instalment (due Wednesday 25 August) won’t be applied while we're in COVID-19 Alert Levels 3 and 4. However, don't forget there are several ways to pay (including online). Find out more here https://www.southtaranaki.com/our.../rates/pay-your-rates
Council facilities (e.g. Hāwera Administration Building, LibraryPlus Centres, i-SITE Visitor Centre, TSB Hub, Halls, Museums) remain closed until Level 2. remain closed at Level 3.
Rubbish and Recycling Kerbside Collection
During Level 3, your kerbside collection service returns to normal and all bins will collected (including glass crates).
Transfer stations will be operating during normal opening hours with limited numbers being allowed through the gates. 24-hour recycling not available.
Cashless payment by EFTPOS or account only.
Please do not return any library items until further notice. Don't worry – we don’t have fines.

It is important that you keep off all public playgrounds.
Our 38 public toilets will be kept open. Our toilets will be regularly cleaned, so people can use them while getting fresh air - but stick to the physical distancing, basic hygiene and alert level rules.
Land Information Memorandums (LIMS)
Land Information Memorandums (LIMs) can still be ordered but will only be provided electronically. Please practice patience at this time, as preparing these documents may take longer than usual.
