Youth to Work Awards
Excellence deserves recognition
The Youth to Work Awards are a Mayor's Taskforce for Jobs project that recognises the work of deserving employers, education and training providers and young people who are achieving their potential (and beyond) in their workplace, education or training environment.
These awards are now held every two years. The next Youth to Work Awards are to be held in 2021.
2019 Awards and Results
The 2019 Youth to Work Awards were held on 29 August at TSB Hub in Hāwera. With a field of 33 nominations across the six categories, the awards night once again highlighted the excellent work our employers, education and training providers, students, trainees and apprentices are doing in our community.
Award winners and all nominees are to be congratulated for their outstanding work – our judges this year found it particularly difficult to short list the finalists and the stories behind each nomination made everyone a potential winner.

Once again we thank our sponsors and supporters for their support and generosity. We are always encouraged by the willingness these businesses and organisations show when asked to back the event for another year.
