Order of candidate names

The South Taranaki District council resolved under regulation 31 of the Local Electoral Regulations 2001 to adopt the pseudo-random order of candidate names to appear on the voting documents. Candidate names were randomly drawn by a Justice of the Peace on 16 August 2022.

Issuing of voting documents

Voting documents will be posted to electors from Thursday, 26 January 2023

Return of voting documents

Voting documents must be returned not later than noon, Friday 17 February 2023 to the electoral officer.

Special voting

You can pick up a special voting pack by visiting our Pātea LibraryPlus facility or the Hāwera Administration Building.

An electoral official will need to register your special vote. We have electoral officials at the Hāwera Administration Building and Pātea LibraryPlus facility who can help with the taking of special votes.
