Closure of Roads to Ordinary Vehicular Traffic 1 June - 31 Oct

This notice is to let you know that in accordance with Section 342 (1) (b) and Section 13 of the Tenth Schedule to the Local Government Act 1974, the council prohibits the use of all motor vehicles and motorcycles from 1 June 2026 to 31 October 2026 inclusive on the following roads:

Moeawatea Valley Road
Braemore Road (last 4.5km of road)
Lakes Road (unmetalled section 3.9km from intersection with Mangawhio Road)
Meremere Road unsealed section
(known as the Meremere Track)

This prohibition shall not apply to residents along the roads.
