Nominations Confirmed for Te Hāwera Community Board By-Election

Nominations have closed for the Te Hāwera Community Board by-election, with three candidates standing for the vacant position.

The candidates are:

• Stephen Corrigan
• Tobi Hipp
• Jamie-Anne Manutai

The by-election follows the resignation of community board member, Celine Filbee, in June 2026.

Voting packs will be delivered to eligible electors from Monday 7 September 2026, with voting closing at 12 noon on Wednesday 7 October 2026.

Those eligible to vote are resident electors and non-resident ratepayer electors whose names appeared on the electoral roll when it closed on Tuesday 28 July 2026.

Completed voting papers can be returned in the prepaid envelope provided with the voting pack or delivered in person to either:

• Hāwera LibraryPlus – 121 High Street, Hāwera
• South Taranaki District Council Administration Building – 105–111 Albion Street, Hāwera.

The official result is expected to be announced on Wednesday 7 October 2026.
