Water Pressure Tests Normanby and Eltham

Next week (5 May) we are completing flow and pressure tests on our fire hydrants to make sure there is enough capacity available for the Fire Service to respond effectively when needed in Normanby and Eltham.

These tests will occur on Mon - Wed in Normanby and Thurs - Friday in Eltham.

There is the possibility that this pressure testing could ‘stir up’ some sediment in the pipe networks which could lead to discoloration. If you notice a bit of discolouration, we suggest you run the water from your cold tap for a short period until the water runs clear. If the water appears milky or cloudy, this is most likely just air bubbles in the water. This will clear if you leave your water to stand for a few minutes.
