Mayor and Elected Members
Koromatua me ngā Kaikaunihera
The Council consists of 29 elected members which is made up of one Mayor, 12 councillors and 16 community board members. These elected members represent the Eltham-Kaponga, Pātea, Taranaki Coastal and Te Hāwera Wards.
The Council meets on a six weekly basis and has the following governance structure: full Council, Policy Development Committee, Environment and Hearings Committee, Personnel Committee, four community boards, Iwi Liaison Committee, Eltham Drainage Committee and three portfolio groups.
