Digital property files are free to view on a Property File Kiosk at the Hāwera Administration Building or your local LibraryPlus. Paper files are no longer available to be viewed by the public as they have all now been digitised.
What is in a property file?
A property file contains information available about the building and land at a certain address. Mostly they include:
- Any building consents
- Any resource consents
- Any other information we have that is relevant to the property
Note – this is not a Land Information Memorandum (LIM). LIMs are more indepth and have a wider scope of information.
How to view a property file
- Come and see the staff at the front counter.
- Let us know your name, show us some ID and we’ll then give you a code to enter into the Property File Kiosk
- From there you can look up the property file
If you are interested in having a copy for yourself, we offer a couple of different options (charges apply, see below)
- On USB stick
Contact our service team on 0800 111 323 for any enquiries.
