Upcoming Bus Stop Relocation Works

Work is starting soon on the new northbound and southbound bus stops, including a shelter, outside 104 Tasman Street, Ōpunakē (the old courthouse).

Key dates:

• Concrete pad installation begins 3 June 2025
• Shelter installed 11 June 2025
• Line marking and signage to follow, with completion expected by 30 June 2025 (weather permitting)

This project is part of relocating the current bus stop from Napier Street to Tasman Street to allow for a new community space.

Please note: The new stop will not be in use until all work is complete and approved by the Taranaki Regional Council. We'll provide an update once it’s ready.
