Council is looking for feedback on four separate consultations that are open for submissions from Monday 1 December.
- Parking Control and Traffic Flow Bylaw Review (closes Friday 30 January 2026). The proposed review of this bylaw is your chance to let council know your views on how we operate parking control and traffic flow in the District.
- Proposed Speed Management Plan (closes Friday 30 January 2026). In this consultation Council is inviting feedback on proposed speed limit changes in the District.
- Alcohol Survey (closes Friday 30 January 2026). The Alcohol Survey will help Council determine whether there is a need for a Local Alcohol Policy in the future. The survey seeks feedback on how alcohol affects people, families and communities in the District. Responses are anonymous.
- Proposal to close part of Cambridge Street, Pātea (closes 14 February 2026). Council is proposing to permanently close a short section of Cambridge Street in Pātea, to create a safer and more vibrant pedestrian space at the town’s southern gateway as part of the Pātea Town Revitalisation programme.
