Make the most of Summer with a day of fun, food and family

Join us at Soldiers Park, Eltham on Saturday 10 January for the Community Family Fun Day—a jam-packed event running from 10am to 3pm.

Bring a picnic and find a pozzi in the park or have a look at what some of our delicious food vendors have on offer, sit back and enjoy the sun with whanau and friends.

South Taranaki District Council Events Coordinator Ella Tosland says pop in to see some local talent, find a bargain with some of our stall holders, enjoy an ice-cream to cool down and catch our local fire fighters in full demonstration and much more - there is something for all! Bring your togs to head to the swimming pool, or your wheels to enjoy the skate park. There is literally something for everyone.

"This event is such an exciting opportunity for families and whānau to come together and enjoy a truly special day in Eltham," says Ella. “It’s not just about relaxing in our beautiful parks and making the most of the fantastic facilities Eltham has to offer—it’s about celebrating the incredible community spirit that South Taranaki is famous for. Add to that the thrill of a fast-paced 3x3 basketball showdown in partnership with Basketball New Zealand, and you’ve got an afternoon packed with energy, connection, and fun for all ages. We can’t wait to see everyone there!”
