STDC moves to Objective Build for Building Consents
South Taranaki District Council (STDC) customers will soon have a new, easier way to apply for building consents with Objective Build — a modern online platform designed to improve consistency, transparency and the overall quality of building consent applications.
From Monday 2 February, customers will be able to submit building consent applications through Objective Build via Council’s website. If you already use Objective Build with other councils, you will be able to log in as usual and view your full application history within the system.
“Applications already underway before 2 February will continue to be processed in the current system (Simpli),” says environmental services group manager, Liam Dagg.
“Once those consents are issued, they will appear in Objective Build for future reference,” he says.
Objective Build streamlines the consent process by making information easily accessible, tracking progress clearly, and guiding users through required actions. The platform also connects directly with council systems nationwide, reducing multiple logins and enabling the sector to work more efficiently through one unified system.
