This notice is to let you know that in accordance with the Transport (Vehicular Traffic Road Closure) Regulations 1965, the South Taranaki District Council proposes to close the following road to ordinary vehicular traffic at the following time.
Ngawhini Road, Hāwera (between Turuturu Road to approx.. 2km)
Saturday 14 February 2026
Between 7am to 5pm
Hillclimb
It will be an offence under the above Act for any person otherwise than under authority of an authorised period to use this road for ordinary vehicular traffic during the period of closure.
In all other situations necessitating the use of this road, contact must be made with the site traffic management co-ordinator on-site, on the day.
