STDC Arts Lease Programme 2026/2027

The South Taranaki District Council calls for visual art submissions from South Taranaki artists for lease and display in the Council’s Administration Building in Hāwera. Established in 1996 to support and nurture our creative community, the exhibition showcases work in the foyer gallery by talented artists, who can offer their work for sale with no commission taken. To qualify for the Art Lease Programme, artists must reside within the South Taranaki District boundaries. Selected artists are paid a fee of $150 for a one-year lease, paid at the end of the lease period. Only wall-hanging artworks are eligible.

To submit artworks (up to 4 per artist), please include this information:

• Your name, address, phone number and email address.
• A clear photograph or scan of the artwork(s). Digital files at least 1 MB file size, please.
• Title, dimensions, medium and date of each artwork.
