Trial Water Shutdown - 22 June - Hāwera
Council will be carrying out a water supply trial shut on Monday 22 June as part of ongoing work to test and improve the resilience of our water network.
The planned shutdown will affect the following properties:
- 95 Glover Road
- 2–99 Camberwell Road
- 1–71 Egmont Street
- 312 High Street
- 2–44 Scott Street
- 2 Tawhiti Road
- 53–101 Collins Street
This trial is designed to test our systems and ensure we can respond effectively during future planned outages and maintenance activities.
When your water supply is restored
You may notice temporary discolouration when the water is turned back on. If this occurs, run a cold tap for a short period until the water runs clear.
If the water appears milky or cloudy, this is most likely caused by air bubbles in the water. Simply leave the water to stand for a few minutes and it should clear naturally.
We apologise for any inconvenience and thank residents for their patience and cooperation while this important testing is carried out.
For further information, please contact Council on 06 278 0555 or 0800 111 323.
