🚰 Ōpunakē Watermain Flushing – 14–16 July

Veolia will be carrying out routine fire hydrant flushing across all of Ōpunakē on the nights of Tuesday 14 July, Wednesday 15 July, and Thursday 16 July, starting from approximately 9.30pm and continuing until around 3.30am each night.

This quarterly maintenance helps remove any settled sediment from the watermains and draws fresh chlorinated water through the network, helping to maintain water quality for the community.

Residents may notice some temporary water discolouration following the flushing. If this occurs, simply run your cold tap for a few minutes until the water clears. No other major impacts to the town's water supply are expected.
