Temporary Road Closures - 25, 27 Feb and 1 March

This notice is to let you know that in accordance with the Transport (Vehicular Traffic Road Closure) Regulations 1965, the South Taranaki District Council proposes to close the following roads to ordinary vehicular traffic at the following times.

Americarna:

Beach Road, Ōpunakē
Wednesday 25 February 2026
between 11.00am to 3pm

Hāwera

High Street (between Caledonia and Argyle Streets)
Union Street (between Countdown entrance and High Street)
Regent Street (between Little Regent and High Streets)
Albion Street (between Rowe Street and Community Centre Carpark)
Friday 27 February 2026 between 11am to 6pm

Manaia:

Sutherland Road (between Butler Road to Tauranga-A-Ika Street)
Tauranga-A-Ika Street (between Kauae to Riemenschneider Streets)
Kauae Street (between Kaipa to Tauhuri Streets)
Tauhuri Street (between Kauae to Kapuni Streets)
Kapuni Street (between Tauhuri to Kaipi Streets)
Riemenschneider Street (between Tauranga-A-Ika to Kaipi Streets)
Kaipa Street (between Tauranga-A-Ika to Kauae Streets)
Sunday 1 March 2026 between 6am to 6pm
Street Sprint

It will be an offence under the above Act for any person otherwise than under authority of an authorised period to use these roads for ordinary vehicular traffic during the period of closures.

In all other situations necessitating the use of the roads, contact must be made with the site traffic management coordinators on-site, on the day.
