Glover Road/Turuturu Road Roundabout Trial

As part of the South Taranaki District Council’s programme to improve the safety of our roads, Fulton Hogan has been contracted to install a roundabout at the intersection of Glover and Turuturu Road.

Installation work is planned to start at 9pm on Monday 18 May and will continue until approximately 2am on Tuesday 19 May.

The roundabout will initially be installed as a trial. This means we can assess how well it improves safety and traffic flow at the intersection before making any long-term changes. During the trial period, we will monitor how vehicles use the roundabout, including how easily trucks and other heavy vehicles can navigate it, and how it affects traffic movement and delays.

The installation will be carried out under a road closure, with detours in place via Camberwell, Egmont, Fantham Street and Waihi Road.

At times you may experience some inconvenience with noise, parking and/or access to your property, however every effort will be made to get the work done as quickly as possible, with minimal disruption.
